The only operational Spanish destroyer to side with the Nationalists in the Civil War, in which she fought in the Bay of Biscay and the Mediterranean. She was refitted after the war and back in service by 1943. She and her sister Alsedo were scrapped in 1957, and their sister Lazaga in 1961.
